Cure Herpes
Can herpes be cured? At this time, the answer is no but there are treatments that can help to reduce the number of outbreaks a person has and the severity of them. Scientists continue to do research looking for a cure for this virus and there is hope that one day, there will be one. In the meantime, anyone with the herpes virus can receive treatment that can greatly improve their condition.
There is a reason why finding a cure for herpes is so difficult. When this virus is in its dormant stage it hides within the cells of the nervous system. During this time drugs are ineffective and even when it becomes active, some of the virus may still be hidden away where it can’t be reached. Of course, there is still much research that needs to be done and many test that must be conducted before it can be said there is a cure. Still, technology has made it possible to say there is hope and it’s something that may be in the near future. Until that day arrives, it’s suggested that you learn as much as you can about herpes such as how to treat it, how to reduce the chances of an outbreak and how to prevent it’s spread. This will make living with the virus much easier.
